Cookie policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026.

A cookie is a small file a site keeps in your browser; browser storage plays the same role. This page lists them all, for this site and for the app at app.photographescolaire.com: what they do, how long they last, and whether they need your consent. The controller is Pixiel (SASU), publisher of photographescolaire.com.

Your choice

Google cookies are set only with your consent, asked for by a banner: “Accept”, “Decline” (just as visible and just as easy) or “Customize” (audience measurement and advertising, separately). Until you choose, no Google script is loaded. Your choice is kept for six months, then asked again; it applies to this site and to the app. You can change or withdraw it at any time with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of every page.

Ours, no consent needed

They make the site work or remember a choice you made; they are exempt from consent and are never passed to any third party.

  • psc_consentement — your choice about Google cookies (accepted, declined or customized), for this site and the app. Six months.
  • This site's browser storage — the language suggestion you closed (erased when the tab closes); for the “Get notified at launch” window, the time spent during the visit, then the date it was shown to you, so it is not shown again for thirty days. None of this leaves your browser.
  • psc_sans_mesure — set only on the lab's own devices, so their visits are not counted. Thirteen months.
  • Our own traffic measurement — it sets no cookie and no storage: daily totals, on our servers (see the privacy policy).

In the app at app.photographescolaire.com

  • sessionid — keeps you signed in to your account. Thirty days. Exempt.
  • csrftoken — protects forms against forged submissions. One year. Exempt.
  • pixiel_langue, pixiel_theme — the language and theme (light or dark) you chose. One year. Exempt.
  • messages — a message shown after an action, for as long as it is displayed. Exempt.
  • pixiel:nav — (browser storage) whether the sidebar is collapsed or expanded, until you erase it. Exempt.
  • __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid — set by Stripe, our payment provider, on payment pages only: security and fraud prevention. One year and thirty minutes. Exempt: they are needed for the payment you request.

Google's, only with your consent

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic on the site and the app, and Google Ads to measure how well our ads work: whether an ad led to a free-trial sign-up or a paid lab order. Legal basis: your consent. These cookies are never set in the school area, the back office, or on pages that show students.

  • _ga — Google Analytics: a random identifier that tells visitors apart. Thirteen months.
  • _ga_… — Google Analytics: the state of the current visit. Thirteen months.
  • _gcl_au — Google Ads: links a sign-up or an order to an ad that was seen or clicked. Ninety days; only if you accept advertising.
  • _gcl_aw, _gcl_gb, _gcl_dc — Google Ads: the identifier of the ad click that brought you here. Ninety days; only if you accept advertising.
  • Google cookies on its own domains — if you accept advertising, Google may read or set its own cookies on its domains (google.com, doubleclick.net), under its own policy and for durations it sets.

What is sent to Google

The page address without its parameters, a neutral title (never the name of a school or a project), your device and browser type, and your IP address, from which Google infers the country. For conversions: the free-trial sign-up, and for a paid lab order or a new subscription, its number, amount and currency. Never your name, your email or any student data. In Google Analytics, this data is kept for at most fourteen months.

Recipient and transfer outside the European Union

The recipient is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC, in the United States, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection.

Withdrawing your consent

At any time, with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the page: choose “Decline” or untick the boxes. Our pages then erase the Google cookies set on our domains, and nothing more is sent. What was sent before you withdrew remains subject to the retention period above. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect your use of the site or the app.

From your browser

You can also view and delete cookies in your browser settings. Deleting psc_consentement brings the banner back; blocking all cookies prevents signing in to the app.

Questions about your data: the contact form at app.photographescolaire.com/contact/, or a letter to our head office, 2 bis rue Sainte-Bernadette, 85140 Essarts-en-Bocage, France. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL, cnil.fr).
