Privacy

Last updated: October 22, 2026.

Who is responsible

The controller for the processing described here is Pixiel (SASU), publisher of photographescolaire.com, represented by Jocelin Thuret, its president. For any question about your data: the contact form, app.photographescolaire.com/contact/, or a letter to the head office, 2 bis rue Sainte-Bernadette, 85140 Essarts-en-Bocage, France.

What this site collects

This site has no account. Its contact form sends your name, email address, subject and message to the application, app.photographescolaire.com, so that a person can reply; you receive an acknowledgement. The sign-up and beta buttons lead to the application: what you enter there is processed under the application's privacy policy.

Being notified of the opening

If you ask to be notified when the Prise de vue software opens, your email address, the language and the page you asked from, the date of your consent and the text of the box you ticked are sent to the application, app.photographescolaire.com. An email asks you to confirm the address; without confirmation, it is erased after thirty days. Once confirmed, it is used only to write to you at the opening, then erased three months after that announcement, and at the latest two years after you signed up. Every email carries a link that erases it in one click. If you also tick the box for major new features, this second consent is kept separately, with its date: we may then write to you about each major new feature until you unsubscribe, and your address is erased at the latest three years after that consent. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

The server log

Like any web server, the one serving this site keeps a log of requests: IP address, browser, page requested, referring page, response code, date and time. It is used for the security and proper running of the site (legitimate interest). It is rotated by size: beyond five files of 50 MB, the oldest lines are deleted. It stays on our server, in France; it is not sold, shared or combined with other data.

Cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are set only with your consent, asked for by a banner; without consent, no Google script is loaded. Your choice is kept in a cookie, psc_consentement, for six months. Two other pieces of information may be kept in your browser: the language suggestion you closed (session storage) and, for the “Get notified at launch” window, the time spent on the site and then the date it was shown to you (thirty days). Every cookie is detailed in the cookie policy. Cookie policy

Google audience measurement and advertising

Only with your consent, we use Google Analytics to measure traffic and Google Ads to measure how well our ads work (a free-trial sign-up, a paid order: its number and amount). Recipient: Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to Google LLC, in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. No name, no email and no student data is sent to Google. You can withdraw your consent at any time with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the page. No data is sold.

Audience measurement

Traffic is measured by us, on our own servers. For each page viewed, your browser sends us the page, its language, the site you came from (its domain name only) and the type of device (phone, tablet or computer); a click on certain buttons also sends the button's name. Your IP address is used for a brief moment to work out your country and region, with a database installed on our servers (DB-IP Lite, CC BY 4.0 license), and is then not kept. We only keep daily totals: no cookie, no identifier, nothing that could recognize you or follow your visit. These totals are erased after thirteen months. If your browser asks not to be tracked, nothing is sent. Like any request, this one goes through the server log described above. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing the site's traffic.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction, its erasure or the restriction of its processing, and you may object to that processing. Write to us through the contact form, app.photographescolaire.com/contact/, or to the head office; we reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), cnil.fr.

The application

Data about photographers, schools and students is processed by the application, under its privacy policy and the data processing agreement accepted at sign-up.

No facial identification

The software locates the position of the eyes to crop and straighten portraits. It identifies no one: no facial recognition, no biometric data.
